Applications
Vineyards
Unique and superior irrigation method of using Rain-Tal’s Vibro-Spreaders is applied in vineyards. The method was developed for our customers in South Africa and has been applied to thousands of acres.
- Utilizes a low-pressure water discharge sprayed from 2 feet over the ground by our LP Vibro-Spreaders.
- Creates local micro-climate simulating early winter.
- Saves water.
- Proven results: Earlier budding and better crops.
Design Principles:
Using Rain-Tal’s LP 50 L/h Vibro-Spreaders that are plugged directly into PE tube in upright position, or the Elite UD 50 L/h Vibro-Spreaders that are plugged in Upside Down position . The PE tube is hooked along the rows at about 2 feet above the ground. A pressure of only 1 bar is applied. The system is simple, inexpensive and effective.
How It Works:
Late autumn irrigation creates a micro-climate by providing a cooling dose that simulates early winter conditions. This contributes to earlier budding and earlier harvest. In the spring, the cloud of humidity formed around the plants by the fine water droplets sprayed by the Vibro-Spreader, also protects against frost. The low-pressure still provides good wetting diameter important to supports healthy root development and effective in dissolving organic manure.
